Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Collection
Like all of Quentin Tarantino movies Pulp Fiction was “Bad Ass”. When it first came out in 1994 I was only 9, and it wasn’t until years later I discovered what Pulp Fiction was all about “Be cool honey bunny”.
When I heard Urban Decay was releasing a mini collection in honor of the movies 20th anniversary I knew I had to have it, all I could think about was that edgy smoky true 90’s look Mia was known for. The red lips, the smoky eyes, that black bob, her crazy lifestyle, oh and that dance scene with Vincent (John Travolta) I could go on and on. Who would have known that 20 years later the little girls who loved Mia’s look would grow up and be able to recreate it thanks to Urban Decay.
Although the collection is small it is very functional with great usable pieces to add to your collection.
Starting off with my favorite the limited- edition Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette
Including five shades Righteous (light cream matte), Tyranny (warm brown matte), Vengeance (deep taupe-brown, matte-satin), Furious (white satin), Anger (black satin)
This palette gives you everything you could ask for to recreate Mia’s look. Starting from the Ezekiel passage on the box to a well sized mirror, a blood-red mini brush, and a get the look card with step-by-step instructions to perfect that Mrs. Mia Wallace look we all love.
This palette reminds me so much of the Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay. I do find the Pulp Fiction palette to have a better quality of shadows which are much more buttery and easily applied over the Basics palettes shadows. Also the colors are very similar, so if you’re in need of a neutrals palette that’s portable id grab this while you can.
Now onto the Pulp Fiction nail polish, the dark deep red, with slight shimmer just screams Mia.
The quality is as to be expected from Urban Decay long wearing, high gloss and very opaque even after just one coat.
Onto the 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Mrs. Mia Wallace
Dark deep blood red in Urban Decays 24/7 formula, creamy, waterproof and super smooth application. It’s even made with Vitamin E, Jojoba oil, and cottonseed oil to nourish skin.
But we would never forget the Pulp Fiction Revolution Lipstick
A Dark deep blood red, highly pigmented color with an amazingly creamy application with just the right amount of shine comes in a limited-edition, jet-black version of Urban Decay’s lipstick case.
Obviously because Pulp Fiction was such a great movie I was automatically drawn to this collection but after using all the products I’m very happy with the collections performance and highly recommend it before its gone.
What do you think of this collection? 🙂
