Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set Review & Giveaway
As a mom Target has always been my shopping choice for pretty much everything. I have walked up and down the makeup isle seeing Sonia Kashuk products but never purchased anything from the line.
I started seeing a lot of Instagram and Twitter posts about this Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition Brush Set and did a little more research on the line. I happily discovered that Sonia Kashuk brings department store quality products to the mass market. I then learned that the line has been partnered with Target since 1998.
Along with all the rave this brush set has received, price wise it is a value. Buying a set like this is very practical because if you were to buy 15 individual brushes you would end up paying a lot more.
So this is when I asked myself “Where the heck have I been?”.
I truly love discovering new beauty lines. Sonia Kashuk is my new discovery I look forward to getting more into.
Now onto my first impressions and review.
I must admit to being a little late in discovering this Limited Edition brush set. It took almost forever for me to hunt it down. It felt like I had to search almost all of South Florida, which peaked my interests even more. Seeing that it was such an in demand product I knew it would be worth it.
I finally found a Target that had it in stock and when I went up to the customer service counter to pick it up (yes I had to do the online order for in store pickup, this thing is that serious!) I saw the packaging and was absolutely delighted. The most gorgeous presentation of brushes ever, with purple bristles, dark purple handles, and gold lettering.
When the Target sales associated asked if I wanted a bag I immediately answered “No, its too pretty, I just want to look at it” he smiled, as I happily walked off knowing that I made yet another happy purchase.
The first brush I tried was the Blusher Brush,it’s purple bristles and sturdy handle is great, and then that moment it touched my skin I was so impressed on how soft the bristles were not to mention the even and smooth application it gave me.
Duo Fiber Buffing Brush is like nothing I currently have in my collection. It seems great for blending out any harsh lines from contour products.
The Synthetic Angled Brush is great for contouring as well, and for precision.
The contour brush is very similar to the MAC 163 Flat Contour Brush. The Sonia Kashuk brush is softer allowing for a precise contour with a soft finish.
The Foundation brush is very easy to use, I like it for applying cream concealer.
Blend… Blend… Blend… Sonia Kashuk’s blending brush to me is a little larger than most.
The crease brush dome shape will be fun to try, because most have a more precise tip.
Fluffy eye-shadow brush is yet another one a bit larger than most but is still really great for placing color on your lids.
Precision pencil brush is great for adding color to your inner eye area, smudging and perfecting your cut crease.
Synthetic angled liner brush perfect for eyebrows and winged liner.
A Spoolie Brush, you can never have too many spoolies, they are so versatile. Great for eyebrows and eyelashes.
Overall this set is a must have. Its practical along with a huge bargain. The quality is amazing, you have the ability to create so many looks with this set.
I look forward to becoming more acquainted with the rest of the Sonia Kashuk brushes. They feel so high end, I am in love with them .
If anyone else has tried these please tell me what you think. 🙂
